Brave New World (1)

Reading the beginning of the book, the biggest thing that I notice is that it really set up a world that seemed pretty, tough. The world was described as something that sounded gloomy and painful. The things that we should find meaningful, like the word "mother" was describe horrifically, it made me expect to see "Brave" really expressed later on in the book.
